Technical

The Payment Ranger uses a specially programmed PDA to scan a barcode placed on the vehicle. The PDA communicates wirelessly with the host server to return the payment estimate results to the customer using the Payment Ranger.

Typical hardware consists of:

  • A server to host the vehicle data and administrative software
  • WLAN;
  • Barcode printer;
  • One or more PDAs.
